Observed: A friend and I were camping and he walked to Founder's Grove. He was on his way back when he heard a crash and a scream on the hill above the road, then another crash and then russling in the bushes closer to him. He stopped and waited. Nothing moved, but he said he could hear something breathing. I was about 1/2 mile away on the riverbed of the South Fork of the Eel River when I heard a very LOUD scream in the forest north of my position approximately in the area where my friend later told me his adventures occured.

Observed: Saw a sasquatch looking through our cabin door. I was looking out at him/her. This happened when I was very young and it sounds incredible, but it happened.

Cotton, MN can be found on a MN road map, situated near Highway 53.

Which is not to say that I feel that there is a sasquatch in the woods wherever I go, it's just the knowledge that there is something else "out there" in general. Please take this message seriously as I have never come across anyone with as strong a conviction on the subject as myself. Observed: Walking along a path, with pine trees on both sides. A dog tied to the fence by a nearby mobile home began to bark. About 50m away, I saw a 7 ft tall, bipedal, human-like creature w/ reddish-brown hair walking along the edge of a field. I called out to it. It glanced over it's shoulder at me and kept on walking along the treeline. I turned and fled.

*What Happened?*

A Footprint/Tracks and Strange Nest report.

Observed: We were hiking towards the west on a 45 degree slope of forest soil when we came upon four large prints. They ran from west to east towards the direction we had been coming from. Above the easternmost track there was a 5th print that was the best to view. These two prints had been created by a biped who put most of their weight on the lower down hill leg while placing only a small amount of weight on the uphill leg. As a result, the lower foot had slipped about 8 inches down the slope, tearing the slope to the wet clay beneath. The upper track was 16 inches long and over 4 inches wide. The track that had exposed the wet ground was less than 10 minutes old when we found it, since it dried before our eyes to form a dry crust. My husband, Mark tried to duplicate the track's depth and appearance by stomping his hiking boot into the ground. It required 5 such kicks. The main line of tracks were spaced at over 4 feet apart. When Mark tried to duplicate this same stride length, he fell because the slope was 45 degrees. Above the 5th track, there appeared to be toe-kick-in prints made as the subject turned to go directly up the slope. The tracks vanished in an area covered with deep pine needles. We followed the general direction of the prints uphill until we came to a large nest. The nest was next to a pine on the uphill side. It was about 3 to 3.5 feet high, made of pine needles and was shaped sort of like a volcano with a hole at the top. The hole was about 2 to 3 feet wide. We took pictures of the best track, and the nest. Over a decade later, we were watching a special about China on P.B.S. that showed what was supposed to be a nest of the Chinese version of Bigfoot. It looked just as ours had except the one in China was made of twigs.

It appears that the subject was moving our direction, then stopped to view us. It then climbed up the slope towards the nest site for what ever reason.

When we first moved to Washington State in May 1974 we spent about 5 days at the Sulphur Creek Camp ground east of Darrington Wa. We were the only people there during that time and on the last night we were there we both awoke at about 2:00 A.M. to the sound of something in the big tree above our tent. This sound was like nothing we had heard or have yet heard since. Neither of us believed in the Bigfoot at that time. Nevertheless the voice of the creature was so strange to us that we threw all of our camping gear into the car and drove off. The trees in that area are about 200 feet tall and because of the low cloud cover it was a pitch black night, therefore we could see nothing in the tree. Observed: My Marine buddy and I were on a hiking/camping trip in Washington State, on the west side of th Puget Sound and north of Bremerton. The area is very wooded, and very remote. We were walking for about 4 hours down a game trail when we heard strange grunting sounds, almost like a buck (deer) during mating season. Being an avid hunter though, I knew it wasn't a deer. We walked quietly towards the sound, hoping to find perhaps a bear or something. We were both armed with military type rifles, so we were not fearful of our safety. Moving another 100 meters or so, the sound became louder and more frequent. The sound was now accompanied by the crashing of rocks. As we rounded a bend in the trail, just SE of us I spotted what appeared to be a huge black bear standing upright. It didn't see us, and it was only about 80 meters away, but the woods still masked it. We moved even closer, and now it appeard as if there were more than one. As we got close enough to make the creature, it was nothing either of us as seen before. It was about 6'5 or more, it had a huge upper body and it appeared to be lacking a neck. This was NOT a bear. My buddy and I looked towards each other, remaining silent and using hand signals. We moved away, we were both scared to death! Don't ask me why, we were armed to the teeth but we just didn't know what we had just seen. We moved back to the safety of the bend we just rounded and began talking about the possibilities. We both concluded it was a bigfoot we just ran into. Now confident we were able to defend ourselves (we talked about old stories of them being hostile.. I knew nothing about them), we moved back to investigate. Actually, we planned on confirming this was not human or a common animal, then we were going to terminate it. Yes, we though we would be famous.. As we moved back towards the last known location, we were unable to find the creatures. We found evidence of their being there, two rocks that weighed at least 200lbs were sitting one on top of the other (fresh marks on them as if one was dropped on the other from several feet) and broken branches. We didn't find any foot prints, but there was a lingering odor...like animal dung but more powerful. We got the heck out of Dodge and told no one, until now. We looked in the base library and discovered that there were laws on the books protecting these creatures in many states. I am glad we didn't run into it (them) again. This was the summer of 1988.

Don't really know what it was trying to do. It was moving things around in the immediate area, but it didn't seem to have a purpose for doing so, unless it was marking its territory like other animals.

Observed: During the summer of 1980 near Port Angeles WA, I took a break from riding my motor bike along some old logging roads. During my break I was about 100 yards near an old growth tree line. After about 15 minutes I heard 3 low pitched growls or "huffs" coming from the direction of the tree line. They were quick, lasting just about a second each. Needless to say I felt the need to leave the area quick. I have been an outdoors type for most of my life. I know the sounds of various animals and can usually identify them. Not that day.

Observed: I was trout fishing in an area called Divorce Creek in Wells,NY with my girlfriend and we came across this very large footprints. This was in the summer of 1993, I never have seen footprints that large in my experience hiking in the Adirondacks. The track were heading out of the trail towards the road, I'm not sure what the subject was doing. Since there were only a couple of tracks I imagine he might have been trying to hide them?

Observed: About 5 people saw a creature walk in front of their motorhome in the northwestern U.S. They captured it on video tape and Hard Copy ran it on the air Monday Mar.25/96. One of the people in the motorhome was an ex-playmate for playboy magazine. Just walking from one side of the road to the other.

As stated above, this playmate was doing a film shoot and this event happened during the night while the vehicle was parked. The video lasted about 5-10 seconds. Experts said the creature was about 7' plus. This was measured by a knot in a tree that was 8' off the ground. *Comments/Phone #*

The only thing I don't understand is why after the creature left and when the experts showed up they didn't show any footprints either on video or in cast form. If this event really did happen my guess is there should have been prints?.. Maybe someone here could look into this with a bit more detail.

Observed: The report I am filing with you may be lengthy but I deem it necessary to the understand the account. It was the summer of 1977 or 1978 on the outskirts of town. My father's best friend and fishing buddy was fishing about a mile behind his mobilehome at a farm pond in a wooded area. It was about 2:00-3:00 a.m. when he noticed that the sleeping horses in the trees were startled and ran. He said at the time he thought nothing of it and continued fishing. When in the light of the moon standing across from him on the otherside of the pond was a bigfoot. In rersponse he left everything and ran home. He said that he wasn't sure that it was a bigfoot but it was at least 6.5 feet tall, very broad and covered with hair. This is the background information to my account. It was later that same year in the Fall and my father was going with his fishing buddy on an allnight catfishing trip. My Mom decided to go out to their house for the evening with my brother and myself. My Mom and her friend decided we would watch some late night television and play games while the men were out fishing. It was approxiametly 1:30, and my Mom and her friend were talking and my brother and I were listening on the couch when there was a thud on the side of the mobilehome. The thud was heavy and you could feel it in the floor. The sound came from the backside facing the woods. My mother's friend looked out and said she saw nothing, about that time a pounding came to the door and continued for 10-20 seconds. She looked out the peephole and said it was to dark to see a thing, she then went to the window and looked out and screamed. She looked at my mother and stated it's that thing he told me about. She ran to the rear of the mobilehome and got a gun and came back. They made my brother and me get behind the couch. My Mom and her started to scream, they said they hoped it would scare it away, my mother picked up the phone to call the Sherrif. As soon as she dialed the noises from outside stopped. We sat and talked about it for the rest of night. She said the thing looked at her when she peered out the window,she said its eyes were human in shape but colored like an animals, his body was covered in brown long hair, it stood at least 6.5 feet tall and appeared to be angry. The next morning when my Dad and his buddy showed up they discovered a few prints around the backside of the mobilehome and by the front door.

It acted like it was curious at first but was showing aggression.

Observed: this happened quite alwhile ago in south central South Dakota. We had a three story school house in the country. My classroom was on the third floor. At about 9 0'clock I looked out the window into a corn field. It was late Oct. and most of the corn was brown. About 50 yards away there seemed to be a man that was standing in the middle of the rows eating the corn. But when I took another look the thing was to brown to be a man and to big. I montioned to another student to take a look and he agreed with me. Later that same month a friend of mind said that his dogs were barking all night and that his dad was ready to shot them if they did'nt shut up. They also discovered that one of there corn bens had be broken into.

The subject seemed to be eating corn. And just standing in the corn. I don't think it even noticed us watching him or her. The subject stood over the corn easily. The corn was at least 6 to 6 1/2 feet tall. We could see easily its chest and head.

Observed: This nasty smell came from the end of the subway car. I'd smelled nearly every smell taking the train all my life but this smelled like a missing link. I passed out, missed my stop and vomitted all the way. I don't know how it ever got to the city.

I think it was taking a dump but it could have just farted.

Observed: It was as dark stormy night in the Pacific Northwest territory of Washington. We were camping in the dense, foggy forest of the Redwoods. Upon hearing and smelling something unusual, my friend Alex awoke from his sleep. I was taking care of some business behind a tree when I heard this terrible scream. I ran back to the camp to find Alex cornered by a huge manlike beast. I reacted without thinking and jumped on his back. He be in for a squabble no doubt, so I swung and hit the ape in his mouth. This is when the ass whooping began. Whenhe turned around he was extremely mad and began dropping bombs on my head piece This is when I got upset and started my kung fu fighting. At this point he had enough and left I think he found Alex sexy!!!

*What Happened?*

A Sighting, Strange Sound and Photograph report.

Observed: Two persons I know were hunting near a river near eatonville washington in 1974. The claim that the day was "Different" in that there was nothing around, no birds, no sounds. The left their vehicle and hiked up a logging road a while. Talking as they went about how strange everything seemed. The described an "awful" odor in the air, and even made jokes that "This is what bigfoot is supposed to smell like". After about 1 hour, they started back to the vehicle. Admitting to be a bit "Spooked" On the way, the suddenly heard a "Gut wrenching scream" about 50 yards on the uphill side of the road. As this was told to it was very loud, and very, very scary. Both of the men knew that this was not a normal sound, and became concerned for their safety. In stead of staying on the road, they decide to cut the trial and "get the hell out of there". The started down a trial the led to the next switchback, and suddenly came face to face with an indvidual, about 7.5 feet tall, male. He was crossing the trial in front of them, about 30 feet away. Looking directly at them. One man quoted that it was as if he wanted us to see him". As the creature walked in front of them, one of them raised a 35 mm camera, with flash, and took one frame. Then, according to them they ran, as fast as they could back to the vehicle, and fled the scene. They went into town, and had lunch, talking about what had just happend to them. They decided they would go back, and see if they could get a better look, or track the animal. According to them, it was not likely that the animal they saw, was the one they heard. As the distance from the sound source to the sighting was great. But, who is to know. When they went back, they seen nothing out of place, and could not follow the trial as the brush was too thick. They went home, and never mentioned it again. My input: I have known one of these men for sometime. I know him to be honest, and reliable. He mentioned this story to me one day, and told me he had a photo of a sasquatch. I was of course curious. I went to his home, with my girlfriend one evening. He produced a photo. A standard 3x5 print. I was shocked, and totally amazed by this photo. I have always thought that "Bigfoot" was real. But after looking at this photo for a few moments I now "KNOW!" that it lives. I examined it over with a magnifier, and it is totally awsome! What a being he is. Good detail of the face, with reflection of the flassh in his eyes. It was very scary looking, not something you would be very comfortable meeting in the woods. This is the only photo like it in the world, and, if it were mine I would let some folks examine it as I know its value to science. But, this fellow wishes not to have anyone interested in the animal. He fears that with this photo, people would go hunting the creature, and he feels that it shold be left alone. I agree. But, I do know that many folks would like to get a look at this photo. Please understand that I cannot help you locate this man, as I have not seen him for nearly a year. And, I could not guess as to his whereabouts. I asked him at one point for a copy of it, and he agreed but after a few weeks, and the fact that I said science should see it, I am afraid that I blew my chance. I would just like to have a copy framed on my wall, and would never sell it. But, I dont. FOlks, I seen it, its real!

Observed: Well driving to work form Nelson, British Columbia to Kaslo, Bristish Columbia which is approximatley 45 miles, I came around the corner on about a half mile stretch of highway at about 7:40 am when I notice something crawling up the left side of the bank. At first I thoght it was a bear but when it got tothe top of the highway shoulder it stood up and that's when I really took a hard look and noticed that it was at least 7 to 8 feet tall and dark in colour. It then turned and looked down the highway at me and at this time I was about a quarter of a mile away when it one stride to the center of the highway (12ft) and then a second stride to the other side of the road a third stride across the ditch and then a final stride to the edge of the timber line where it stopped and turned and looked once again at me. By this time I was about one eith of mile and could tell it was dark in colour and looked to be covered in hair. As it walked across the highway it was slouched over slightly. I ended up driving a mile past the sighting before it hit me that I had seen something out of the ordinary and because I was running late for work I thought I would stop by on the way home. It ended up raining all day and whn I finally got back to the sight things were pretty well pakced down with the rain.so know footprints.

It was coming down from the mountaines and possibly heading to Kootenay lake or possibly a cave.

Observed: We were hunting deer in The Southern Tier, in during December 95', when we thought we saw a bear coming out from behind a tree, but it was running on two feet, and making ungodly noises as it was running after us. it was about 200 yards behind us and we only had about 20 yards to go to our truck, and it nearly caught up to us, but we managed to get our truck. Before we could leave though, it smashed out our front window Our insurance won't claim it, so we decided to tell our sto- ry to you. No one else will believe us. It looked like it was feeding on something behind the tree, when it looked up at us with those yellow, evil eyes. It ran after us yelling like a mix between a gorilla and a man.

Observed: This happened in the spring of 1975. I lived in an apartment complex which backed up to some woods. One night two of my friends came up to me as I was taking out the garbage. They were very upset and scared. They said they had heard some strange rustling sounds in the woods. I was the oldest so i retrieved a flashlight and walk with to the edge of the woods. as I illuminated the woods, the light pick out and outline at the edge of the woods of something big. It's eyes were luminous and at least 6 ft in the air. I didn't stay around to get a closer look. There had been persistant rumors before and after this incident of a hairy off-white creature matching the description of the Sasquatch. I personally heard strange gutteral sounds and heavy walking in those woods. I still have occasional nightmares about that night. *What Happened?*

A Sighting report.

Observed: I was hiking in the Wasatch mountains above the town of Pleasent Grove, Utah. I had just entered Grove Creek Canyon when I saw a large red animal up on the rim of the canyon, about 1oo feet above me. It looked about as tall as a large man. There was little wind, but I did not notice any strange smell. I quickly realised that I was looking at a Bigfoot. I stood and observed the animal for about 5 seconds, then it walked away from the rim of the canyon, out of view. I looked for it throughout the rest of the hike but I did not see it again.

It appeared to be looking east, up the canyon and into the small valley between the foothills, where we were, and Mt. Timpanogos. After I had watched it, it turned it's back to me and walked oput of view. I can only guess that it was looking for prey.

Observed: A dark bipedal object running through a small field towards the National Forest boundaries. It took place around 6:30 in the morning on Decembder 9th(I think) 1993. There was a small group of houses in the area. Two days afterwards we ovbserved the spot and spotted what we took to be two foot prints, and possibly others. It had rained during the time in between these two sightings so the footprints weren't all too great.

Running towards the forest. The funny thing is, is that a school bus had just passed by and it popped out from a ditch right behind it, and started on dash to the forest.

This occured at: It took place about 10 miles southeast of Sisters, OR near the National Forest boundaries. We lived only a half mile from the boundary so a short visit to the forest was very possible. In deschutes county on Ponderosa Loop RD near a small community called Plainview. It was just beginning to become daylight. I've heard of other reports near Suttle Lake Oregon on the Santiam Pass. But that is another story.

*What Happened?*

A Footprint/Tracks report.

Observed: While fishing at a large beaver pond about 5 miles east of Gates,Oregon in the summer of 1994, I found a set of strange tracks in the mud along the pond's bank. The tracks came down off a slope behind me, and continued about 15-20 feet out into the water, where it appeared that the animal stopped. The tracks then made a banana loop back toward shore. Because of thich brush, I was not able to continue to follow them. Being a skeptic, I went home without thinking much more about it. I then told my brother-in-law about the tracks the next day, and he asked me to take him to them. Bringing along some plaster, we headed back to the pond. The tracks were still visible, and had even begun to dry in the sun. The tracks measured about 18 inches long and had only four toes. The animal had to be very heavy because the inprint was very deep. We took a cast of the track, and started to head home, when we found a dead, half eaten beaver in the brush. The only thing strange about this was that this was the direction that the tracks had been heading, and it appeared that something big had been in the brush. The beaver had been picked apart, not torn apart, almost like something was looking for the tastiest entrails. My brother-in-law called 1-800-bigfoot,and submitted a report, so I'm sure you have made note of this incident. Only now have I become aware of this Web Site, and I wish to obtain more info on this subject. I am mostly interested in other sitings in the Mill City/Gates area. Being a long time resident of the Santiam Canyon, I would like to hear if anyone else from the area had had similar experiences. I have heard many other stories from loggers,hunters,trappers etc, and have bugun to explore these further. Now that I have access to E-mail I would like to be able to share some of these stories with you. Thank You

Observed: 12 to 16 inch (approx.) length tracks in the shape of a foot about 5-6 feet apart in 21 inches of snow. These tracks were seen within a 2 mile radius in late winter-early spring of 1986 or 1987 in the northern mountains of North Carolina in a town called Glendale Springs, off the Blue Ridge Parkway. They were observed by several individuals including park rangers. Photos were taken by a resident of the town. These tracks seemed to cross over a split rail fence in one stride. The park rangers tried to explain them as rabbits or small animals jumping up out of the snow and back in again. These tracks were all around the home that I was living in at the time and I know I saw tracks of something that would have scared the life out of me had I seen it in person.

I think that this creature was probably searching for food in the deepest snow in these mountains in several years.

Observed: We were in the middle of Forest Park, in Cougar, Washington. We thought it was just us, but I guess no. We smeeled this god awful smell, and I thoght my friend crapped his pants or something. Then we heard a sound in the bushes, my friend yelled out who's there. Then there was this piercing screem, un-human like, and this 8 foot tall bigfoot appeared in the bushes. We took off running towards our truck. That was it. I told my freinds this but they reminded me about my history as a pathological liar.

I think the beast was melting. I don't know I was shroomin' out.
